Hello this is you daily forecast of California Mortgage Interest rates for 2/5/10.
The FNMA 4.5% coupon is on the raise and the 10 years bond is down. You know what that means lower mortgage interest rates.
Lenders have already repriced for the better this morning, for the second day in a row.

Mortgage back securities weak

MBA or Mortgage Back Securities are at there lowest levels in 4 months. But I do not think they will hits there lows of August, due to governmental actions. However, the 10 year bond could be the difference maker. The 10 years is at it highest level since August too.

Hello,
Today mortgage interest rates climbed in the morning. This was due to good news on the economy. Retail sales were up again last month, up 0.9%. Import prices were up as well. This could be bad news for interest rates. If inflation goes up so do interest rates.

There are big changes on the horizon in regards to mortgages and they are not for the better of the consumer.
